JAMES R. TANNER
James Tanner has an emphasis on
employment law. He routinely
represents federal employees in
replies to proposed agency adverse
actions, discharges, suspensions,
and other discipline, loss of security
clearance, reduction in force, and
performance actions. His
experience includes representation
in numerous arbitrations on behalf
of his federal client. From 1983 to
1998, he represented his federal
client in numerous hearings before
administrative judges from the
Merit Systems Protection Board and
the Equal Opportunity Commission. He
currently represents federal
employees and former employees in
MSPB and EEO proceedings, as well
as agency investigations.
He represents other public
employees, in addition to federal
employees, including state,
county, and city employees in
discipline and discharge cases,
performance matters, and other
adverse actions. He represents
private sector employees
on issues related to discharge and
other discipline, performance
matters and other adverse
actions. He routinely handles discrimination cases
involving age, gender, disability,
race, national origin, sexual
harassment and hostile work
environment.

clients in criminal defense, wills, real
